In my opinion i will never buy a refurb projector, there is a 90 day waranty on those and most likely to get problem in the future, better to buy new, they always comes with a 1 or 2 and even 3 years warranty. SO IF I WERE YOU BUY NEW! |

The SP7210 is great, bt for the money I believe there are better option.
The SP7210's color wheel does help reduce the rainbow effect, but the IN76 has many benefits for about the same cost.
The IN76 has 3 HD inputs onboard, runs a lot quieter than the SP7210, uses a less expensive lamp that has a longer warranty, is filter free, and looks better (on and off the screen).
The IN76 has even better color than the SP7210 and can better handle HD content. The IN76 list at $1999 and remanufactured for $1499. |

With the X-series projectors it is very important to lean the lamp screen and other filters on a regular basis.
Overheating is one of the leading causes to premature lamp failure.
You can get remanufactured IN24+'s which are brighter, still in production, and have twice the lamp warranty for $519 Direct. It may be best to upgrade to a new model?

For good resolution, please look for XGA and not SVGA units.
For less than $800 you can get the InFocus Work Big IN26+ which has 2400 lumens and XGA resolution.
This unit has a 2yr warranty and the lamp sells for only $249 (good compared to other models).
DLP can provide as bright and colorful of an image as LCD. The clarity will be in the resolution, so I am assuming the unit you saw had SVGA resolution. |
