I work as a multimedia manager for Richardson ISD. Part of my job entails advanced troubleshooting on LCD projectors from classrooms. Hopefully I wind up saving the District a buck or two...
We have a myriad of Eiki, Sharp, Dukane, and Philips projectors scattered amongst our campuses. The one I'm working with today is a Sharp XG-MB50x. Here is what I sent to Sharp Service support...any thoughts?
The lamp appears intact, fans are operative, when projector is powering up lamp does not illuminate and I hear a periodic, high pitched whirring sound coming from the front near the lens housing. The maintenance lights eventually blink green (power) and red (lamp) in a series of seven flashes each.
Have a good morning and thanks for your help!
