Is it fair to compare the Runco CL-410/420 to this series of projectors? I too was originally thinking about the San and the Panny, but after seeing the Runco at my local home theater. Also, it had been hammered into my head how much DLP is. But I'm hoping some of you new Panny/Sammy owners can convince me otherwise before I dive in and make a $$$ purchase.
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
I'm in the researching phase of purchasing a new home projector - this will be my first.
I have narrowed it down the following: Runco CL-410/420 and the BenQ 7700 series versus an Optoma H72.
A few questions about the Runco for owners and people who have experience with them:
1) Do you feel they are overpriced for the performance they deliver?
2) Can they ONLY be professionally installed?
3) Can I use a 110 screen with the CL-410 or is something smaller like a 92 inch recommend? Can I use a 110 inch screen with the CL-420 without losing resolution??
4) When comparing Runco's with BenQ and Optoma - is it fair to say that it is like comparing apples to apples or are they NOT comparable projectors??
5) How do BenQ and Optoma owners feel about your current projector? Any drawbacks?
This is the last piece of equipment to purchase to finsih off my home theater. I've rounded it off with a Rotel RSP-1068 and Rotel RMB-1075 amp and a set of Energy C-7s, C-3s, C-C1 center channel.
Thanks for your help.
