Topic:   Serious Mitsubishi HC3000 Video Gaming Problem

Kmart: No, I haven't solved the problem. I have yet to find a switcher that looks like it would be higher quality, or a receiver that has enough I/O that I could use it in place of one. I haven't tried connecting directly because, frankly, I'd rather put up with this problem than continually switch cables around. Natja: I have a DVD player, an HD cable box, a PS2, an Xbox 360, and a Wii all hooked up to my projector through component video. Without a switcher or receiver, every time I wanted to switch between these sources I would have to disconnect and reconnect a bunch of wires in a giant tangle, assuming that I could connect things from the sometimes proprietary source cables through female-female adapters onto the cable hooked up to the projector and fix the problem that way. If that didn't solve it I would have to fool around with hooking things up directly to the back of the projector, way up on the wall near the ceiling. I just don't see how it's practical to directly connect all video to a projector, assuming this is my hobby and I want to have a net gain of fun. I also don't understand why there is no readily available solution to this problem aside from expensive and low quality A/V switchers and very expensive but still lacking in I/O options receivers.

Topic:   Ceiling mount projector question

I will be mounting my projector on the basement ceiling of my HT room, are any of you out there having issues with vibration? I'm wondering if this will effect bulb life and for sure will effect viewing when traffic upstairs gets wild, (Kids). I'm thinking I might need to make a projector truss from my cement wall to my support beam and keep it isolated from my floor joist's. Ideas? Thanks

Topic:   Mitz 3000 or HD7100 Or????

I am a Mits. 3000 user and love the image I get. This projector was a huge WOW when it hit the market. Native 720p with an attractive price tag around $3 grand. Picking it up for $1000 now is a good buy.

Topic:   mitsbishi 3000u image size? please help

I'm wondering what size to make my screen before i install my PJ. the room is 16 x 26 and light controlled. the average viewing distance will be around 16.5 feet. Is 125" too big even with very little ambient light? I guess I do want some light during daytime football games, though. if you have a 3000u, what's your setup and lighting? thanks a ton!

Topic:   Setting up the Mits. HC3000U

Ok, finally got the calculator to work for me, I believe I would have to use the keystone adjustment so am now asking if I will loose quality in doing so, I have to tilt enough to raise the screen by about 6"? Next question, would I loose sound quality by moving the center spkr (POLK CSI5) to above the screen? It would be about 90" above the floor and about 40" above our heads when setting. I could pull the rock off the wall and move the shelves and would rather do that then sacrifice audio and video. Any input is welcome! Thanks! hifiguy
