This projector is 3-4 years old. I'm on my 3rd or 4th bulb.
Has always worked great but now I'm getting a splash of blue light across the screen.
Its not even light, There's a bright blue area in the upper left and a lrail of blue spattered diagnaly across the screen. I have 1,500 hours on the bulb so It's getting due for replacement but what is causing this blue light? I dont want to buy a $300 lamp if there is a problem with the projector????
Thanks
Steve
Over the last few months I've begun to notice a "hot spot" on my screen. In other words, the illumination isn't even and I can clearly notice the projector beam on the screen. I thought it might be the bulb and changed it, but the hot spot became more pronounced. It is possible that the hot spot has always been there I guess, but I sure wasn't aware of it before. Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any adjustment I can make to fix it?
BTW, I have a Sanyo PLV-ZR mounted on a shelf at the middle of the screen.
I have a Sanyo PLVZ4 that seems to be an all around great projector. The only issue I have with it is that during a movie with a dark scene you can actually see that the projector is trying to adjust something and it makes the screen go almost completely black and will drown out the characters in the scene. I have watched the same movies on other TV's and there is a big difference. There are a lot of settings on the projector that I don't understand. I was hoping that someone out there could help me figure out why this is happening. I have the projector in a pretty much completely dark room so it doesn't have anything to do with light coming in from outside. Thanks in advance for any help
Oh of course. You're right, how dumb I am to expect sound to come out from a projector. What I did now is just used the HDMI cable for the video, then used a multi connector from the PS3 to the amplifier. Bingo, I got the sound, but not HDMI quality.
I'm just a little disappointed about the outcome of the quality of the bluray player. To me it's not any much different from DVD. Had I known I wouldn't have bought one.
Thanks AV_Integrated for your support. More power to you.
