Just purchased a digital camera (Canon S80) 8 Meg pix. 8x10s look great. Projected images are not close to my old slides. Admittedly I am using a 700$ DPL projector from BENQ using a DVD through a player with an S video connection. Can I get close to slide quality by upgrading?? If yes what are the key upgrades and which ones help the most form the list below: 1) New OPTOMA EP 910 projector $3500-4000 any other suggestions? 2) DVD player with component vs S video?? 3) DVD player with DVI vs VGA?? 4) Eliminate DVD and go directly from a lap top through VGA 5) Eliminate DVD and go directly from a lap top through DVI Also read Digital Slide Shows; A Road Map For Success Ellen Anon, November, 2005 and other articles about the importance of matching the projectors “native resolution”. Some talk about matching the computer resolution to the projector others talk about resizing the photo to match the resolution. Are they both necessary?
