Did you still want some sample settings for your projector? I can give you the few links I went by and then tweaked from there;
http://www.htprojectors.com/htprojectorsENG/preload.asp?ID=253&PROD=3000
Thats the main one I used, in case it doesnt load the test right away its the epson tw-600 test, and around page 5 is the settings they used. |

If all you watch right now is SDTV and you dont have a very good way of doing upconversion I would say hold off until you go with something that has HD content. That way you get better bang for you buck by the time your ready. SD while of course there is a wow factor for it being big, does look pretty bad on projectors unless you have a good way to do upscaling. |

Does anyone else know anything about this projector besides what's posted on this website. I am planning on putting this projector in someone's house to over come some ambient light issues. I love the panasonic 900 but it's not quite bright enough. I've tried the benq 7700 but was very disappointed. My major concern is the fan noise. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Mine just arrived the other day. I don't have a decent screen yet and just projecting onto an off-white textured wall. Fan noise didn't seem very bad at all, especially in cinema color mode. And it does very good with quite a bit of ambient light..fan noise is louder with the brighter setting of course, but still did not distract me. But it may bother others. I think I'll be very happy with it once I have a decent screen and source to watch. I really like the flexibility of the lens range and shift. |

sasquatch4 - please update. I am looking at the same pj and deal from Eastporters. A few questions for you:
1) Now that you've had it up and running for a few days, does it meet your expectations? Any issues?
2) How large a screen are you using and what kind? Any issues on that front?
3) If you had used it, do the actual picture size / throw distance calculations match up with the projectorcentral projection calculator?
4) Did you opt for any of the extended warranties or shipback options? Just curious.
5) One of the main reasons why this pj is at the top of my list is the high light output and my desire to watch TV and sports with some ambient light in the room. What's your experience so far with viewing under less than dark conditions?
Any info would be much appreciated. Thanks! |
