I have had this projector working fine for many months. Just recently I decided to go with an HD set top box because I switched to Verizon FiOS. I have the STB hooked up via HDMI-DVI cable and everything was set up for 720p. Now less than a week after setting this up I can't get HD at all from the STB. If I unplug the HDMI and plug it back in the picture will come in great for a few seconds then it will go black. When I first hooked up the HD STB I had the same problem if I had the DVI set to "Digital PC" on the projector, but setting it to "AV HDCP" worked fine.
I know the projector is still working because I also have the STB hooked up with S-Video (SD channels display much smaller than normal when using the HD connection). I also use an XBox 360 with a VGA connection at 1280x720 and 1024x768 as well as a computer that shares the DVI slot with the STB (unplug one to plug in the other) which works fine at 1024x768 and 1280x1024.
Do projectors do this sort of thing when the bulb is going bad? Would a bad cable do this? (keep in mind the picture looks perfect for those few seconds it's on, and it's a brand new cable.)
