Hello. For about 2 weeks now I have been using a VP6320 projector I bought. The projector was working wonderfully until yesterday. Now the flesh colors get tinged with green and the deep reds have developed a green band around them. I have played around with the color settings to no avail.
I currently have the projector hooked up to my PC through use of a VGA cable with a short extension on it. I have thought about a couple of things to try, but thought I would run them by you guys before committing money to the issue.
1) Finding a single VGA cable long enough to reach(4-5 meters needed)
2) Buying a DVI cable(video card has the output for it)
3) getting a long enough USB cord to use to update the firmware
If none of that works, my options seem to be to go through HP and try to get a replacement/repair(if troubleshooting fails), hire someone to repair it(expensive, I'd imagine), throw the projector against a wall(would make me feel better until I realized I had just smashed a $1300 piece of equipment). Unfortunately for me, I did not pay close enough attention to the distributer's return policy when I was price shopping, because their policy is pretty much nonexistant(7 day return poilcy on a UPS shipped item? Won't make the mistake of buying from infinity-micro again).
Can anyone give me some advice on how to fix this? |

Dear projector users,
We are two marketing students who are investigating the Home projectormarket. Therefore we have created a small questionaire on which we need your help. If you would be so kind to answer to the below 6 questions, it would mean a lot to us.
- Question 1:
Are you satisfied by your current Home projector and where do you use it for (movies, general TV shows, sports, work related)?
- Question 2:
Which brand of projector do you have?
- Question 3:
Regarding which specifications are you satisfied on your projector?
* Image quality
* Purchasing price
* Price of the replacable parts (lamps, etc....)
* Design
* Fan noise
* Others:
- Question 4:
About which characteristics are you not satisfied?
You can use eg. the points of Question 3
- Question 5:
What do you miss on the current line-up of projectors?
- Question 6:
Do you also have another home-entertainment device (like a TV, Plasma screen, LCD screen) next to your projector? When answering yes, for what do you use the projector and for what do you use the other device.
Thanks a lot for helping us with this!
Luc and Yves, two Belgian folks! |
