Well guys sorry for writing here in this post so old. But after almost a yr, i finally made it i made my own component to VGA cable, and i made the tests, and let me tell you, in my particular case, my DVD DVP 642 Phillips, sends a great image in prog scan mode, with my projector. A little bit darker, but colors are really intense, and i see more definition too. So if you want to watch movies with this projector, a Epson s3, making the cable it worst the time bye all.

Now im not sure what im talking about ..but.. ok. I have this projector, the epson s3, and am i going to get a better image intheory if i connect the Helios 4000 DVD player to it? My projector has this specs Display: Type: 0.5" PolySi LCD (3) Native: 800x600 Pixels Maximum: 1280x1024 Pixels Aspect Ratio: 4:3 (SVGA) How can i get the max pixel? What i want is the best definition with a DVD player capable of playing DivX.
