Hi all, Noob question here... I have acquired an NEC LT20 Multimedia Projector from a friend of mine. I used it a couple of times and it was awesome, really good picture quality etc. But after using the projector for around a total time of two hours non-continuous usage, the unit seems to have broken. When attempting to use the unit, it will turn on and momentarily display the blue NEC welcoming screen. After approx 5 seconds the screen flashes white and the unit will go into standby mode . From here, it is impossible to turn the unit back on using the power button, instead it must be unplugged from the mains then reconnected. If it is left in its standby state the unit will periodically (about every 3 mins) attempt to power itself up (show the blue NEC screen) before failing and returning to standby mode. Does anyone own a NEC LT20 and has suffered similar problems? Or anyone with any insight that could be of use will be greatly appreciated. My friend has informed me that it is likely that the bulb has run out. I am sceptical of this as why would I momentarily get the welcoming screen? This is my first post to this forum.
