Hey, I've been searching everywhere for some information on this topic, but to no avail. See I have this projector, the LC-X70. Recently I have noticed a faint discoloration on the top 1/3 of the projection image. At first I was sure it was my screen, but I am certain it is not the screen.
The color at the top has faded to a sort of yellowish tint.
When I was playing around trying to find out what could be causing this I adjusted the focus to the extremes in both directions. What was weird is when I focused it all the way in one direction, all these Magenta, cyan, and yellow spots showed up. They are gathered mostly at the top of the screen, about where the discoloration can be seen. So I can only assume these spots are little exploded Liquid Crystals? I was just wondering if anyone has heard of this problem, or maybe some insight into what can be done. Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
Edit: Wow, I have been snooping around on these forums and I read the FAQ about how boardroom projectors suck compared to HT projectors. Mine is a boardroom but its MSRP is $9,950. Would it still not compare to a good HT projector? If so I should probably sell this thing and get me an HT... what do you think? |
