"Why would you think that the further back you place your projector the worse the image is? Where did you hear this information?"
My contractor's friend who happens to own an entertainment store told me this. He said that the further back the projector is, the much you lose brightness and contrast, and hence, quality. He recommends no more than 23 ft back for my projector.
"...If you had perfect optics, you could project from 1,000 feet and the image would look great. That is (obviously) an exageration, but with a good lens on a good projector, any distance they give you to project from is perfectly acceptable."
Will you think my Fujitsu will work fine at that distance? I had to do a lot of investigation to get this throwback figure but I would like to get your opinions.
Thanks.
Warm regards,

Hi everyone. I'm still wondering whether I should get fixed seatings or removeable ones for my HT. Please give me the pro's and con's for each selection. Thanks.
Warm regards,

Hello again. Final question (hopefully): I know that the further away I put the throwback distance for any projector, the less the quality of the picture, but my question is that can I play around with the zoom? In other words, can I put the projector closer to the wall (20 ft instead of 25.3 ft) and increase the zoom to 1.27 instead of 1.00 and still get excellent quality picture while still keeping the 160 inch screen? Thanks.
Sincerly,

Thank you all for your informative posts. However I forgot to mention that this Media room will now be exposed to three medium windows plus light from the kitchen once we tear down the wall separating the Media room and the Family room. Therefore, I need an extremely good projector that can handle light (true, we will have blinders covering up those windows, but some light will still come in from the kitchen and other places).
Just how good will your recommendations do in this case? Thanks for your help.
Warm regards,
