Topic:   MovieTime DV10 Broken Color Wheel

Help! My Optoma MovieTime DV10 which I love, made a awful sound while watching a movie. I shut it down and extracted a pice of broken color wheel. The bulb is good (aprox 600 hrs). Does anyone have any experience with optoma repair centers? This unit is out of warrantee as I bought it refurbished. Questions... What do you think the repair charge should be? What's the most you would pay for repair and opposed to upgrading to a HD projector? Do you know of any equal or better projectors that have the same short throw lense but can be ceiling mounted my room is only 11 ft deep. Thanks for any and all help Rick

Topic:   Optoma HD70 still relevant to buy?

I'm looking to upgrade from my MovieTime DV10 to a native HD projector for a cheap price. I'm looking at the Optoma HD70 since I can purchase one for around $780 new/shipped. I'm looking to stay under $1,000 on my purchase (way under if possible) and was wondering if the Optoma HD70 was still the best bang for my low end buck. I know they're an ageing technology, but I'm not really looking to "Wow" the neighbors as it were. Any suggestions on other projector avenues or should I just take the Optoma HD70 deal?

Topic:   Optoma Dv10 and Blu Ray

Does anyone know if I can connect a Blu Ray player to this unit? If so, will I see a dramatic difference in quality? Finally, what cable should I be using to make this connection? Thanks!!!

Topic:   Is my Projector Bulb Dying?

Well its seems another problem has occured, Im thinking its still the same problem with what happened to me in the Original post in this thread. Its seems when the projector runs for an hour, the color goes red, and a pixalization occurs, sometime the red is overwhelming it looks like a red color gel is being placed over the picture making most of the colors red. Just wondering if I should replace the bulb. I shut down for an hour, boot it up and the same problem occurs at the same interval. Running the projector on high mode did the tricj before, but its not working anymore.
