Topic:   Advice on upgrading from old to new projector/setup

hi folks, as listed i am currently a using Hitachi Cp-x345 projector for my home theater setup, since 1.5 years i dont have much experience with home theaters and haven't seen many except my own. however i am not satisfied with its output there is nothing wrong with it but i am thinking i can get a better image and colors and a better black-white contrast from another newer projector.i am using RGB component inputs and the screen size i am using is a pull down 80" 4:3 white matt few questions: 1. is 16:9 projector the norm for home theaters or shld i look at a 4:3 like my current one? 2. how good is my current projector? which is 2000 ANSI and 400:1 contrast according to projector central. 3. what should i look at getting with out spending much and how much difference will it make? to my current setup 4. my room is light cream will a new projector make noticeable difference? how much role does the room colour play in the final image displayed on screen? my screen: http://www.projectorcentral.com/Hitachi-CP-X345.htm
