Im getting ghosting in the shadow area of the projected image. It does'nt seem to happen in the bright areas of the movies. Can anyone help?
I worked this out. I turned off the noise reduction in the image menu. It seems to have worked.
I have the NEC HT 510 with about 1900 hours on the original bulb. I have run it in the eco mode for all those hours. It stll has a bright vibrant look. I believe it has the same lamp as your 410.
I occasionally drop in to a HT store to see the newer machines and I think the NEC PQ holds up quite well.
Ok here we go. I have had lots of good information from www.projectorcentral.com, but what I can't seem to find is optimal distance of projector to screen.
I know the NEC510 can go between 12.6'(at 1.0x zoom) to 10.6'(at 1.19x zoom), what I acn't find out is which one is better.
Should I be closer to the screen, is it brighter?
DOes going to 1.19 zoom take away picture accuracy?
I hope there is someone with the answer.
Thank you,
Kevin

The HT510 if I recall is a 576p pj and should be scaling the image up.

What do you mean by scaling up, I have everything set properly, DVD set to 16x9 , progressive scan. It is connected via component cables. The image projected is a smaller image in the middle of the projected image.
Thanks for the reply, i do appreciate the help.
NEC tells me that is can handle 480p without any scaling issues, that is why i am wondering why it is projectng it at a smaller image in the mide in the screen
