I have a NEC HT 410 and I have a question about lamp life -
I ran it in normal brightness mode until I reached 25% remaining life (of 2000 hrs)then changed it to eco-mode. the indicator hasn't changed though and I'm now down to 15% of the 2000 hours and am worried that when that expires it will give me nasty messages about replacing the lamp...how can I tell how long I actually have left and what will happen when I reach 0% remaining time? any info/advice would be much appreciated. |

funny thing is that i can access the main menu and the first screen and then no further. for example i can gt into the main menu, then the information screen and then page 2 but i cannot change the signal from interlaced to de-interlaced. i can get into the set up screen and adjust horizontal keystone but cannot access the vertical keystone. thoughts? |

noob here.
I got a great deal on a refurbed unit $400.00 CAD. I am having trouble accessing the menu. There are many features that I cannot reach such as vertical keystone and page 2 of the information menu to change vertical and horizontal frequencies. Most importantly, I would like to de-interlace, the default seting is interlaced.
My revision is 1.02 and I am using the component input.

Well, I'm right at 300 hours, and my NEC HT410 has dimmed to a point where my projector is unwatchable. I removed the bulb to take a look, and I found a really tiny piece of glass. I gently shook the bulb and I could hear some faint rattling inside. In less than a month I've had two DVD players break on me and now this. I'm starting to suspect an unclean power source, so a Belkin power conditioner is on its way. Damn how I hate to eat the cost of a bulb. I just want to throw this info out there for others. Anyone know a good site to order bulbs from? Do any of them give any kind of extended warranty? |

I am trying to determine the best way to connect my PC to my projector which are about 35 feet apart; my choices are:
-- SVGA (RGB) cable and connectors (15 pin to 15 pin)
-- convert SVGA to component video (YPbPr or YCbCr) at the PC via a scan converter box and connect to projector via the 3 component video cables. My projector supports 480p, 576p, 720p, and 1080i.
Opinions welcomed! |
