With the very inexpensive price of coax, I usually pull 11 pieces at least. 5 for computer, 3 for component, 2 for s-video, and 1 for composite video. Plus, 1 piece of CAT-5e for IR/RS-232 control of my projector.

Seriously? 11? Isn't that a bit of overkill? It seems to me that 5 would be sufficient. That way any type of connection you want is available, you just can't have them all at once. Do you usually want to hook projectors up to every connection at the same time?
Anyway, I'm wiring a home theater before the drywall goes up and I'm planning to run 5 RG6's and 2 Cat-5e's from the equipment cabinet to the projector. I'm still trying to decide about HDMI. The current projector can't use it, and with a run of about 40 feet, I'm worried about spending a lot for a cable that won't ever be used (if standards change before I get new equipment) or won't work anyway because of the length. I figure that no matter what no matter what the standard becomes in the future, somebody will come up with a gizmo to send it down a pair of cat-5's. Thoughts? |

Hi guys,
So after ALL the research and time... I have finally got a projector! The Epson Cinema 200+ was the chosen one.
Now, I am kind of dissapointed because the first thing I wanted to do was hook my xbox up to it. Xbox was hooked up fine and works, but I can't seem to get widescreen HD with halo2?
I went into my dashboard and set my screen to 480p but the screen does not change to widescreen or HD?????
http://www.projectorcentral.com/Epson-PowerLite_Cinema_200+.htm
Those are the specs of my projector... the game itself supports 480P... is my projector not capable of that?
Please help,
Thanks!! |

Hi,
I just bought a new Epson PowerLite Cinema 200+... and me being the newbie to projectors I am, i've been searching around like mad for the best settings. One thing I've seen posted about saving the lamp is running the projector in eco mode... what is this? How do I get into that mode? And what are the negative effects of running in this?
Thanks guys,
Also... if there are any settings I should be using that the average joe wouldnt know to turn on for his projector... please feel free to post it. |
