Topic:   Just a little help/Color on my Panasonice AE700U

Sorry for the silly question...but I have been through the menues and done what I can with tint...just not sure how to....Seems like there is just a bit too much blue tint on my picture. The real REDs are just a bit off to the pink/purple side. Not really sure how to tweak this, besides that everything is excellent. Thanks for any help!!

Topic:   Trigger Switch Functionality

Has anyone successfully connected their Panasonic PT-AE700U projector to a motorized screen via the built-in trigger on the projector? I have struggled to get this to work, using either Da-Lite's video projector interface switch or Vutec's R12V-U universal relay. My rudimentary electrical testing of the trigger indicates that it only puts out about 9V, and very little amperage (I need at least 100mA to cause the relay to latch). I use a motorized Da-Lite Cosmopolitan Electrol screen along with the AE700U projector. Other than this feature, the projector works beautifully!

Topic:   HDCP&Panasonic PT-AE700E

Hello! How can I get the stupid HDCP off! I am using my projector with PC, and it "cuts" the picture from up/down the screen! How can they even use some "protection" like this!!!

Topic:   How bad is the VB on the AE700?

Hi Wakefield103! Yes, I tried the flicker tweaks and turned the PJ off after the cool down phase. All these procedures do have a reducing effect on the VB -issue, but don't make it completely go away. I can also say that after a certain burn in phase of 70 to 100 hours it got better, too. But in my case the VB never reduced to a satisfiing condition. I just got my Panasonic replaced yesterday with a new unit, manufactured in January, which out of the box performed better than the old one. I still do see VB even on that new PJ, but hope to be able to reach better result this time using the same procedure as with my first AE700. Will keep you updated.

Topic:   Panasonic ae700u scan lines

Wondering if anybody else is experiencing this and knows what to do about it: Getting what appears to be de-interlacing problems but I don't think it is. Most of the time video appears photographic like and no scan lines are visible. However, some material, especially when there is motion, appears to show scan lines. Noticed it on a wide variety of material - everything from "The Incredibles" to "Happy Days". I have tried running the DVD player at 480i and 480p to see if it was a problem with the Panasonic de-interlacer but there was no difference. I also tried feeding the projector with a 720p signal from a DVD player as well as from an ATI video card and still experienced the same behaviour so it doesn't seem to be related to scaling (480 to the Panasonic's native 720). Another interesting thing is that if you step frame by frame through the material, you don't see the problem. It only occurs when there is motion at a regular frame rate. This makes me think it is the Panasonic and that it can't keep up with some kind of video processing that it is doing. Any ideas??
