In hunting down replacement bulbs for my used Infocus LP725 I read where a Epson Lamp ELPLP03 can be a direct replacement.. Can anyone confirm that?
I found some good used Epson bulbs availible and want to know if they would work.
Thanks. |

I am totally new to projection home theater, but was given an Infocus LP725, and was wondering if I could use it for a home theater. My dad gave it to me, he used it years ago for mobile computer presentations only. I don't have an extremely critical eye for picture quality, I just like the size for video games and watching football and movies! I could never buy a projector new, could someone out there let me know what I would need in cables and/or other hardware to set up my home theater. I have a DVD, Xbox and Wii, and we have dish TV. I most likely would have to project onto a white wall, at least for the time being. Any help would be much appreciated! I just viewed a friends projection home theater for the first time and thought it was great, and it got me to thinking about the one my dad gave me a while back, that I've never even opened the box. Thanks in advance! |

Ok.. SoI'm gonna go in and see what I find.. but I figure I'd get some input at the same time too.
so I have a LP 725. lamp hours just short of 800.
It used to work great but now recently it has not been booting the light up.
So I removed the lamp and reseated it.. then it worked.. now again.. it does not ligt.
All the buttons sound like they are working, but the screen doesnt light.
I have noticed that when I turn it on though. there is a point where there is a quick lamp flash, that you can see if you look right into the lens. but it is not sustained to light up.
The loose connection theory makes sense.. so I'm gonna check into that. but if anyone has experience with this and knows what the liekly culprit is... please let me know.
While I'm glad it's not the lamp thats bad...(assumption)..a non workig projector hurts just as much.
