My projector displays one yellow vertical line.. If I fiddle with the inputs at the back it will go away.. Does anyone know what could be causing this ?

Well I think I discovered the source of my troubles. While I'm no expert, I can say that with a few image parameter adjustments I was able to make a great deal of progress and have come to a point where I am now happy with the projector. It turns out that my SD signal was worsened significantly by a cable splitter switch that I had installed to be able to watch regular television on my old TV set or the projector. That silly little splitter introduced a ton of noise and it wasn't like I got it at the dollar store either. Maybe I should try something from the dollar store now...it may just work better. My VCR acts as the receiver so if I hook up the cable directly to the VCR and output composite to the projector, I must say the image that the projector displays is quite acceptable. Gone are the fuzziness and the flickery white issues. If I go HD, then this little business-class projector may be everything I need....for now...this is just the beginning.
I looked everywhere for a CD/DVD calibration disc but to no avail. I'll keep digging. If there are any recommendations, I'd appreciate them. |

Unfortunately, I purchased it on ebay and I've already registered the with HP. The seller is an individual who had a number of these for sale, but didn't seem like he was running a store or anything. The price was right compared with others. The unit was brand new, sealed and everyting. I doubt I can return it, as it was simply a bad decision on my part and nothing to do with the seller. |
