Topic:   Recommendations to buy Optoma 759 lamp?

Good evening.... Just got the dreaded "Lamp has exceeded its life" message from my projector.... Can anyone recommend a good website to purchase a new one from? I checked "myprojectorlamps.com" but they do not stock this model..... I see some hits on google where to get some from, but looking for personal experiences on buying a replacement lamp... Thanks - Steve

Topic:   Picture-in-Picture on Optoma Projector

Good morning everyone.... Finally in the process of upgrading/updating my theater equipment and I recently de-commissioned my 7 year old composite-video-out-only Pioneer receiever to an Onkyo that shoots out component video signal to my projector (Optoma EzPro 759) I left the composite line in place and hooked up the Component line with intent of getting Picture in Picture working.... I've got it working once by accident (Screenshot of my ReplayTV showing in the main screen via Component and the small window is my Sat receiever sending a composite signal) But for the life of me, and the user manual for the projector is useless in helping, cannot figure out how to tell the PIP to "get your signal from this source" Any fellow Optoma owner's have any tips? Thanks in advance

Topic:   Long Throw Lens

Looking for some help. We are looking to put a multimedia projector in a church environment. Projector is mounted at 30 feet away from the screen, and the screen (4:3) is exactly 12ft in diagonal (144"). Using the Optoma EP759 which is a bright 3500 ANSI Lumen projector, the smallest image we can get is about 180". What type of Long Throw Lens could be used to get this image to fit the 144" screen. I have read that these long throw lenses may cost close to the price of the projector. Is there a better solution that will meet this very specific requirement. Would appreciate your help!

Topic:   Wow.. sticker shock (DVI/HDMI Cables)

So i recently setup my Optoma Projector, ScreenWorks screen, my 7 year old Pioneer Reveiver (only has composite ins/outs), and also 7 year old Pioneer DVD player.. and for the most part am happy, but the image is kinda jaggedy with certain situations... So i am in the mark for a new DVD player (reading posts like this one in the forum already), but damn, for a DVI or HDMI out DVD player seems to be mid to high $100's, surely less pricey than a 10 meter cable i'll need to make it to my projector This is the reality of going digital, eh?
