Topic:   15 feet from laptop to projector...how to connect

Which cable, and I'll need it at least 15 feet, is the best way to connect my hp pavilion laptop to my projector to enable me to show photos from recent trips? I could cut a dvd and play that, but if I want to go directly from the laptop...thanks

Topic:   Mitsubishi XD400u HD?

Thanks for the reply. Yeah I've seen the spec sheets for it on a million different websites and they all show the DVI input(even the cd manual that came with it shows it!). But with mine, there is just flat black plastic where it shows the input, and upon further study of the spec sheets I usually find a spot that says the DVI is only on the 450U and up models. I figured that if I have any hope at all, it would be with some kind of adapter like you're saying though.. would that really give me true HD?, and which one would you recommend? I'm gonna try calling Mitsubishi's tech support line for now. Thanks again, Bill

Topic:   Mitsubishi XD400u HD?

Hey Guys, I've had a Mitsubishi XD400U for a little over a year now and absolutely love it. I bought it new from a really nice guy who runs an internet business selling projectors, and who happens to live a short drive away from me. When we discussed my options for my price range, he had told me that the only difference between the XD400u and 450U was the brightness, and that both support HD(which I stressed because I knew I'd be getting HD in the future). However, I finally got an HD cable box last month and I suddenly realized there's no dvi or red/green/blue jacks. So we just plugged it into the normal video and tried it out. The picture quality is definitely increased on those channels, but my question for you all is if the HD channels would look a little better on any TV/projector, or if its somehow reading the HD through the yellow video jack. Also, if its not, is there any kind of tuner, or cable that I could rig to make it work?, or will mine just not ever be able to truly "recieve" HD? Thanks alot, Bill

Topic:   Joined the Navy, Wish to Sell My almost New XD-400U!

I have a Mitsubishi XD400U that is barely used. I am guessing that the usage is right around 75 hours or less. More or less brand new! It has the DLP Technology that is very awesome to look at. Anyways, I joined the Navy and I obviously will not need this anymore. I have all cords and manuals and carrying case. It was taken care of very well. If you happen to be interested please email me at Kcpfleger@aol.com. It will be cheaper than getting it brand new, I promise. Thanks!

Topic:   Component to VGA

I believe its specific to the Projector. My XD400U has two HD15 Ports, these are dual VGA and Component ports, one has a HD15 to VGA Cable and the other is HD15 to Component, the first to an HTPC and the Second to a XBOX 360 running at a rez of 1280*720. In my case the projector AUTO DETECTS and configures appropiatly but i can change from RGB to Component colours.
