Hello all this is my first post on bigscreenforums and I really need your help. I have a HC900 projector that turns off after about 1-2 minutes. I think that it may be sensing overheating or whatnot but it shuts off, no warning, and yes it is a brand new bulb. I just got it at Fry's for really cheap and i really want it to work. I don't know if it is a lost cause, but I thought hopefully one of the brainiacs here can help me. Also i am kind of techno-savvy so you don't have to explain things really, really well. I have opened it and peeked around but everything looked fine, mainly because i don't know what i'm looking for, but any idea's, or questions for me please ask. Thank you so much for you time and help,

I just purchased a new house, and in the middle of the room I'd like to mount the projector is a really nice ceiling fan.
I measured the projector and the mount and it will fit under the fan blades, I just wondered if anyone's tried this, I'm curious to see if the vibration from the fan will shake the projector.
This sounds like it has problem written all over it. I tried to move the projector off to the side and keystone it but it was unsuccesful as well. I really don't wanna trade it for a tv.
Any ideas?
The room is 20 feet long and 15 feet wide, and is perfectly retangular. The fan, is smack dab in the middle

Hi there
I bought a projector on ebay (Mitsubishi HC900E) and the seller claimed that it had only been used for about 200 hours. Its lamp life is 2000 hours on high light and on low light its double that.
Ive used the projector for about 10 hours without a hitch. Today, i was playing xbox for 5 minutes when the image suddenly went away by itself and the projector turned off.
I tried to turn it on again, it turned on, then immediately off again. Does this mean that my bulb is finished (doesnt it usually 'explode' when the bulb's life is finished?) Another thing, when the projector is off now, there is a 'ticking' sound that can be heard?
Please help as I am new to projectors ....
The manual wasn't helpful just in case anyone was wandering.
THANKS! |

Hi everyone. WEll a newbie here and have been up most of the day and night trying to get some information. I've been kicked out of my living room and my beautiful 1080P 65" Mistu tv, however, I've been lucky enough to get my hands on a Mitsubishi HC900U projector from my wife's company as they upgrade their equipment.
Here's my situation. I plug everything in...power up the projector...power light green...status light blinking green...picture comes up..amazing picture in 1080i...then within 2 minutes...out goes the picture...power light goes red and the status light blinks green then off. I hit power up and same scenario. HELP!! |
