Just an update...
Contacted InFocus and Displaytech about replacing board. Neither place will sell the part by itself.
InFocus wants $378.00 to repair and also wants me to upgrade with trade in.
I would like to let everyone that has problems like this... Forget about any good support. |

I have a problem with the keypad circuit board. The ribbon that connects it to the main board has torn away. On the main board it has a connection release but on the keypad board, it was soldered to it and ripped off when someone opened the case.
I contacted InFocus and they say they can not ship parts out. To send it in for Repair.
Is there anywhere else I can find boards for this projector? It was made by DISPLAYTECH #PM5374M-C.
Is there anyway to re-solder the ribbon back to original keypad board?
All replies are HIGHLY appreciated.
Thank you. |

Does Infocus LP-540 suit for displaying video movies / DVD pictures / cable TV Channel programs?
How is the pixelation effect?
Please advise.

I've been working with tens of InFocus projectors since '98, now I have in my fleet 4 LP540 one year old. I have to warn you about this, in my oppinion this is the worst possible model that InFocus ever produced, it's even worse than 340/350.
I encountered countless problems : power supplies, lcd panels burned out, and mainly software important issues. Spend a few extra bucks and get a Mitsubishi, Sanyo/Eiki, Sony, NEC ...... |

you might also want to read up on the difference b/w DVI-I, DVI-D etc cables - you may just have the wrong cable.
PS - I expected to be blown away by the diff b/w a digital feed vs a vga feed - it ain't that different. |
