Topic:   Proxima DP-9200 ghost image fix?

I have a similar vertical ghosting just to the left 1/10 of the screen area, the ghost is banded in the red, like a duplication of image compared to blue yellow, i think. If i uplug the rear lcd ribbon while it is running then plug it back in the banding is gone for awhile, 3min maybe then shows up again. Sometimes it extends further. It is usually not visible on native but always on expanded. Anyone have a fix? I thought it was the lcd but then when it shows up on native only smaller i thought it is a synch problem. I can get a photo for comparison if you are curious

I know there is allready a post on this somewhere, but im haveing the same problem with the left side image ghosting on my proxima dp9200. its only noticable sometimes, but its starting to get anoying. Im pretty sure the convergance has nothing to do with it. I did look for the board with all the adjustable pots on it but i couldnt find it even when i had the machine almost all the way apart. if any ones got theres fixed id love to know how. i dont need any more book shelf ends just yet. I have the same problem, ghost image on the left... I did noticed a 4th LCD/alignment (not Red, Green or Blue) it is to the back of the projector under the PC board... I still haven't been able to align it, it's not like the Red or Blue... Any ideas?
You can adjust the convergence, by removing the top cover, and then loosening the machine screws that lock the lcd panels in place on the side, (green doesn't move though) and then turn the 3 screw adjustments on top, one for up and down and one for left and right, and one to tilt to the right or left. Although I am pretty sure that is not the problem, I have experimented many times with the convergence, and all it does is screw up the colors. If your colors look good, and you just have the ghosting, then the convergence is not the problem. I have talked to a repair place, and another friendly guy on the net, and It is possibly either a bad circuit board, or one of the very little adjusting pots (there are like 20 - 25 of them on the main board) is out of adjustment. He told me I could try to turn those, but make sure I marked were they start out, so if I screw something up, I can put it back. He said just try one and if I cant tell what it does, or it does something I dont want then turn it back. Keep trying until you find the one that takes the ghost away. I have not gotten to do this yet, because I have been busy with my wedding and other stuff, but I am hoping to try it soon. i will let you know when I get to it if I find which pot it is if that helps (they are numbered on the board), but if you get to it first, please share with me which one it is. Brian =) I have some aligning grids and other usefull pics that I put on a VCD, I could send them to you if you give me your email addy.
