I HAVE PROBLEM WITH MY INFOCUS LP735 , WHEN I TURN ON I SEE THE BLUE COLOR ON THE SCREEN BUT AFTER THAT I DON´T SEE NOTHING ONLY BLACK COLOR

Yeah, it was a used business projector. My cousin "Acquired" it from a trash pile at one of Chevron's plants along with a fully working newer model infocus.
I recently acquired an infocus lp735 projector and I noticed that when I project, there is a large discolored spot in the image. Does anyone know what the problem is and if there's anything I can do to not have to pay for repair? I don't have enough money to spend to fix it and plus the repair places charge like 150 bucks just for the evaluation. I don't know much about my projector at all, so any help would be much appreciated.
