Hi all, I am working on making a theater room, but I'm running into a problem. Due to traffic I have mounted my dell up on a wall. However due to the "ingenius" design of the dell 3300MP I'm constantly having to swap cables for my computer and my xbox 360. when it was easily in reach I had no problem with this. but now I'm constantly having to climb up the back of my couch to swap the wires and as a result constantly need to reposition my projector. I was looking into video switchers but either they are thousands of dollars or are not what I need. Does anyone here know of a switcher (hopefully under $200) that will take component video in,composite in (for those nostalgic days) and VGA and/or DVI/HDMI in and put it out in one of the HD signals - component, hdmi, dvi (preferably component, but meh I'll settle for any HD out)
also multiple ins of these formats would be sweet.
basically I just don't want to buy switchers everytime I get a new toy.
I Purchased a Dell 3300MP projector in hopes of using at our church for presentations and other studies in conjuntion with our PC. However, I had hoped to use the DVI connection as I thought it would give us the best quality picture. I have tried connecting two differeent PCs using the DVI to M1 connection but continue to get the message no signal on the LCD display of the 3300. The s-video works but the picture is not that crisp and the Component to M1 works from a DVD player just fine. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I've recently acquired a Dell 3300mp projector with 56hours on the bulb. The only problem is that there's a noticable smudge above the picture. I've tried cleaning the external lens and it's still there. I'm some what of a projector newbie and I'm happy with the projector otherwise. Any recommendations for how to clean out my projector?
I just bought a Dell 3300MP and it works great. The person i bought it from didn't have the M1 cable with it. So i bought a M1 cable on eBay. The cable has M1, S-video and composite inputs on the one side and Components (RGB), s-Video and Composit (yellow) on the output with 33ft cable in between.
Great cable, how ever once i plugged this into my COX HDTV box i had some problems.
The Digital/Analog channels work fine. But once i hit the HDTV channels the display does a quick blur and goes black. (sound still there) NOTE Before the HDTV cable i just had the composite (yellow) plugged in and i could see the channels, not in HD but i know i have these channels turned on, if that was a questions)
I have played with the out put of the HDTV box and it was originally set at 1080i. Tried all the other formats and NO luck.
I am new to HDTV and might be missing a crucial step somewhere. Is it the Cable, Projector or HDTV box? Any suggestions would be great... Thank you.
I'm trying to set up my Xbox to a dell 3300MP projector
I have the HD pack connected to one of those little converter boxes with a bunch of different outputs.
I tried converting to VGA, but the projector wouldn't see it.
Any ideas?
