I'm using 2 Zenith "Silver Sensor" (available at Best Buy and Sears for about $35.00) indoor antennas (one for projector in basement and 1 for TV in family room) and they work pretty good. In my area I can get all locals (ABC FOX NBC and CBS) in HD (NOTE: there isn't always HD material being broadcasted). Until Direct TV makes them available in HD, it's really my only option...Check to see what's available in your area and give it a try...you can always return it if it doesn't work. |

I have also had problems with dust blobs on my SE2HD. I have had some success blowing them off with canned air, but it involves taking the cover off (don't tell the factory guy).
Make sure your projector hasn't been running for a good long time before you try anything. When you remove the cover of the projector you will see 3 wide flat cables leading to the LCD's. This is where you want to focus your cleaning efforts. Be carefull with the canned air! Use short bursts and only in the upright position as they can expell liquid that can damage your LCD's.
My blobs are usually green, so I assume that they are on the green LCD. My unit has colored stickers on the cables indicating witch is witch.
I am not recommending that anyone try this. I'm just telling you what I did. |

I have an SE2HD (same as Z2)in my living room with regular blinds. I occasionaly watch it during the day, but the immage isn't great. One nice thing is that you can't see the dust blobs that my unit seems to attract. They are only visible in dark scenes and you don't get dark scenes in a light room. I like my SE2HD, but I suggest you stock-up on some canned air if you buy one. |
