As this is a stat that is often brought up in comparisons, I was wondering how much you actually noticed it. I obviously hear it as I initially turn it on, and in times where there is dead air, but otherwise it just blends into the background. I have it ceiling mounted about 2 feet infront of the seating area.
On a scale of 1 to 10 (1 being you can't hear it, and 10 being annoyingly loud) I would rate it a 5 during dead air and a 2 during a quiet scene in a movie. The spec on it is 26.0 db right from proj.cent.
Let hear some real world observations as I know everyone here has paid attention to it if they are even remotely interested in there projector's performance. Thanks, McGurk

I have a canon LV-S3 that i think is very noisy (sits about 3.5 ft on top of my head) the manual speaks of a super quiet running of 30db, but I cannot figure out if this unit has more than one setting) Any help would be appreciated

Can anyone tell me if the Canon LV-S3 has a silet mode. At the initial settings it's a little noisy. I read the manual fron to back and still can't find that setting
