I’m sure some of us have a busy household with kids and adults all wanting access to the projector to watch cable TV(all digital and some HD stations), DVD’s, Xbox games and access the internet. Well, our family now has over 1400 hrs use over the past 4 months, exceeding what I believe to be normal use for the projector. I expect its going to cost me $400-$500 Canadian for a new bulb before the end of 12 months. I don’t own another TV since my 50” rear projection TV of 20 years bit the dust and RCA no longer carry the parts. So I plan to buy a TV(30”) or monitor to cut down on replacing the bulb too often. In addition I also plan to move the projector to another room (Home Theatre room) on a different level (house is a side split) so that we can view the projector from 2 levels when sitting. This will free up the existing projector room and allow me to add an additional TV or large PC 30” Monitor. My dilemma is there are so many different options available today in setting up a network of entertainment, I wonder what others have done to separate or integrate the projector (DVD and HD), PC (internet), Xbox (games), TV(cable) in the house?

What about Home Theater Rooms. Great to see pictures and dicussions on completed HT Rooms that were built by HT owners. I'm always looking for HT room designs and ideas to use as I move onto my next step in architecting and building the final resting home for my projector.
