Hello All -
I posted earlier about a colorwheel for an NEC LT260K. I was fortunate enough to get an LT240K for parts, which had the same colorwheel in perfect condition.
When I look at specs and parts, the 2 projectors seem to be almost identical. The LT240K has a slightly longer lens. The throw charts for the projectors show that typically the same picture size can be achieved with the LT240K about 3-5 feet closer to the screen than the LT260K.
Does anyone know if I can simply take the lens assembly from the 240, and replace the lens on the 260? If so, would I lose anything in terms of brightness or quality?

Hello All -
I just picked up an NEC LT260K, and it sounds like a lawnmower. Does anyone here either supply or know where I can get a replacement color wheel? I'm not afraid to replace the parts, I'm just not having much luck finding it.
I just did some searching, and saw some previous threads. I'd like to get in touch with Sheridan, if you are still out there. Either on the board, or my username (flipbaird) is also my gmail address.
Thanks

I guess I didn't know my product as well as I thought I did. I have an LT260K. There is no K on the front of the projector but there is one on the bottom near the serial. I guess I need the "K" color wheel part number. Thanks so much to Sheridan for the info!! This stuff is hard to find. I called NEC and argued with their tech guys and got no where with them, other than reallizing I had a K model projector.

I am looking for a used projector for photo presentation to clients. THe NEC 260 was recommended by an associate. Does anyone have experience with this unit or have any other suggestions on a projector in the $500 range.
Thanks |

Is there a ceiling mount available that permits fine tuning after the mount and projector are locked in place--for example, using thumbwheels? The Peerless Spider mount I'm using with my NEC projector does everything right, except that when I get the image exactly registered on my screen and then tighten the set screw, the mount moves. Not acceptable behavior for a mount, I would think, but seems to be common anyway. Has anyone taken ceiling mounts to a higher level? |
