Topic:   Infocus Screenplay 5700

I have recently fallen upon difficult times with my screenplay 5700 and I am looking for help. When I try to turn my projector on it is completely dead. No lights (red or green) come on at all now. I just replaced the lamp a few months ago, but shouldnt I still get some sort of power sign regardless if the lamp is good, or even installed for that matter? Shouldnt the projector show that it is receiveing power just by being plugged in? I guess what my ultimate question is, will getting a new lamp possibly solve this problem? On a seperate note, are there any projector dealers in the northwest suburbs of chicago? I may be in the market for a new one soon. I thank you in advance for any and all assistance lended.

Topic:   Infocus screenplay 5700 lamp (contact arms needed)

Greetings. Can anyone suggest where I can purchase the contact arms that attach the lamp to the electric cables? I need the gold contact arms that create the contact from the lamp to the electrical plugin on the projector circuit board.
Sounds like your color wheel. I've performed this repair two or three dozen times on several Infocus and Optoma models. It will only get worse and eventually fail. It's a bit fiddly to get to and the color wheel is very fragile and easily broken, but it is doable. The last time I checked with my supplier, the part was about $250 and shipping.
Sheridan, do you have any SP5700 color wheels. Mine is getting worse and is so annoying it is time to find a new wheel or a new projector.

Topic:   Problems With Infocus X2 Color Wheel

Hello I've seen where many people appear to be getting a color wheel for their projector. Unfortunately I don't have the same projector but I have a Screenplay 5700 could you possibly get a color wheel for this one? Or are there any other units that use this 6 segment 4X speed color wheel?

Oh, believe me, given all the posts on the issues the 5700 has (power supply, color wheel, etc.) I feel blessed every time my 5700 starts up and runs. I've been expecting to have to buy a replacement pj for at least a year (and move up to 1080p), but can't justify it while the 5700 continues to perform well.
