I have a similar problem as GoodyJ0n post on April 3, 2008.
Projector powers up. After about 2 minutes the lamp turns off but fans continue to run. Less than a minute later the lamp restarts, stays on for less than a minute and turns back off.
Seems like a Thermal issue. I located one thermal detector and it checked out fine. Do you know of others?
The lamp is new. |

Did you ever find a fix?
[QUOTE=GoodyJ0n|Apr 3, 2008 7:25:23 PM]
I recently got my hands on a Infocus LP820 Projector. It was going to be tossed by my company so I saved it. I was wondering if there is anyone that could help me with why it doesn't work. I've contected InFocus several times with no response. My problem is....
The projector turns on just fine and the picture comes up fine for about 30 seconds. After that time the lamp shuts down and then it tries to restrike the lamp with no success, eventually it just turns itself off.
I've updated the software, and I'm planning on reseting the factory resetting along with the lamp counter. Is there any other reason the projector is acting this way? Filter is clear and Lamp is secure.

I've looked at long throw lens adapters and wondered if they effect the brightness when the image gets to the screen.
For instance the InFocus LP820 has an adapter with the specs below:
Long throw lens; wide 2.95:1 (throw distance:image width); tele 5.21:1 (throw distance:image width). $1436.00 |

I have an Infocus LP820, two Draper Cinefold 6' x 9' screens, and two Tru Home Theater Sound units, that need a home.

I have sold one of the Theater Sound units, so I am looking to sell the rest of the equipment as one package at $2000.00. The projector is in a hard plastic case. |
