Topic:   Dust blobs projected on sceen.

Unfortunately I made the mistake of attempting to clean the dust bunnies from the inside of my projector before asking for some professional help first. All it seemed to do was to enhance the problem. Is there anyway to fix my problem myself(other than sending the projector off to a repair center)without making things worse.

Topic:   hidmi to rgb adapter to view 720p

could anybody tell me if i'm on the right track. I want to use a hdmi cable from my reciever to my projector but my projector only has component video, s-video, standard video, and vga inputs. i have found different adapters to connect to the hdmi cable to be able to input into the rgb connection but am not sure this will still enable a 720p picture. I would use a hdmi cable connected to a female hdmi to male dvi adapter connected to a female dvi to male vga adapter to finally connect to the projector. i hope somebody can let me know if this will work before i have to go buy everything. thanks

Topic:   Do I need to buy another bulb?

About 8 mounths ago I purchased a BENQ PB8120 projector for a home theater application. About a week ago i turned on the projector and noticed that the brightness level had dropped off drmatically. When I purchased it it had 25 hrs. logged on to it, but those could have been reset by another consumer as I bought the unit refurbished. My question is this, should I just bite the bullet and buy another bulb or does anyone know of any other problems BENQ projectors have that might cause my picture to dim so much. Someone please help a newbie get an answer because the people at BENQ weren't very helpful or kind to my dellima.

Topic:   Dim image

I am new to projectors so please bear with the newbie problem. I am currently using a BENQ PB8120 projector for my home theater. I have logged a little over 700 hours on the bulb and have noticed a dramatic drop in the picture brightness. I have read through a few postings and have come to the conclusion that my bulb should be replaced. athough i am hoping someone can confirm my conclusion before i shell out $350 for a bulb that might only last 700 hrs.
