Hi there, iv just registered to this site, cos im looking for some advice and im hoping some people here can give me some ideas.
Basically iv just moved into a new house and plan to convert the living room into the ultimate cinema experience!! iv had my projector for about 2 yrs (mitsi XD350U) and i love it, all my mates want plasmas and i cant understand why! my projector has two video inputs and two vga inputs as far as im aware only one of which is HD 1080i (not sure) either way my xbox 360 and hd dvd drive are connected to the one i believe to be hd, my laptop is connected to the other, my sky+ box is connected to one of the video inputs and my soon to be recieved Wii is to be connected to the other, for my audio i have a technics dolby 5.1 stereo which can take two audio inputs (sky+ and my xbox) the laptop runs thru separate speakers, when the wii arrives i have a choice of swapping rcas around all the time to produce sound or getting a new surround sound system which i would prefer to do.
i also have a pc which is converted into an arcade machine (running mame software) and also works as a jukebox so im planning on using the technics stereo to supply sound for my pc and my wii, which will leave my xbox, sky and laptop without sound! the laptop is connected to the projector as i have films stored on my hard drive which i like to watch on the big screen, so basically im looking for a surround sound system which can take 3 inputs and produce earth shattering sounds as i will be sound proofing the room!
also iv u think i have this setup the wrong way at all, could you please gimme a clue! as previously i have had all this setup basically in my bedroom with wires running everywhere!! i will also be getting a couple of la-z-boy recliners to complete the feeling!! so i want my setup to be the best i can possibly have.
thankyou |

Hi! I need to know how many lamp hours my projector has on it...as it must be getting close to 4000... (i used to watch it in cinema mode ... but now use 'standard' for the same light output.) Its been a great projector, especially on HD TV, so i will bite the bullet and buy (gasp!) another lamp. thanx |
