Trying to hook up Samsung BD-P1600 Blu-ray player to Infocus SP7200 with HDMI/DVI cable. Can not complete handshake. Black picture only. I get picture with component cables. DVI cable 12'. If Samsung player will not work, is there a unit that would handshake? Thank you for your help! |

Im a bit new to the projector arena. I purchased an Infocus 7200 the other day. Good deal, or so i thought. It needs a replacement lamp and they are really expensive at $500+. I am looking for a Part Number: SP-LAMP-006. Any suggestions or offers would be appreciated |

Hey all, I found Projector Central three years ago and used it's incredible resources to build my home theatre. It's been great. Now it's time to ask for help. :)
Super Bowl is coming in two weeks and our Seahawks are going. I want to host a party with my projector and screen for family and friends to enjoy the game. We don't watch TV so it's never been a problem/need to watch anything other than movies/play video games on the screen. I understand that I will need a digital tuner in order to enable the cable signal to be viewed with my projector and that running the cable through a VCR to my projector will produce a less than satisfactory result.
Anyone know of a 'reasonable' tuner to buy? We've been finding $500-$600 ones which we were't budgeting for that's for sure.
As I said, we won't be watching TV on it, this is potentially a one time deal. We do host family Thanksgiving every other year so we can always watch the bowl games on the screen for one of those but I'd rather not drop $500 if it's not necessary.
Is there a coax to composite cable adapter or something like that?
Thanks in advance,
Charlotte |

Just saw infocus 7200 (refurbished) at www.woot.com for $2200. Does the deal make sense to get it? |
