My Dell XPS1330 laptop (Vista Business) will not work with our church projector (Mitsubishi XL30).
When connected, the laptop screen resolution automatically changes to the same as the projector, then there is some flashing and a picture shows on the projector screen for a few second then drops out.
I have tried changing the resolution of the laptop screen prior to connecting it, but the same thing happens. We have tested other laptops and some work perfectly and others do the same as mine.
Does anyone know what the problem is and how to rectify it?
Thanks! |

The title pretty says it all. Not long ago I replaced the bulb in a XL3OU projector, but did not reset the timer (because I didn't know how). Now I'm getting a problem with it. My boss thinks the machine is reading the bulb as burned out, so it won't display images there any more. I don't have the manual, and I can't find it any where online, so I've come here.
Does anyone here know how to reset the clock on a Mitsubishi XL3OU projector?
Thanks,
Reg06
edit; update- the projector is on, but will not even display a blue screen of death (or whatever the base image is)/logo/menu. |

You may want to have another look at the remote control or on the projector itself. You can select which input (1 or 2) you want to look at for Computer or Video. Try selecting the other one to see which is actually receiving video. There's no reason for an input to just stop working. My XL30U confused me a bit at first but later I realized I only had to select the correct source to see the video. If the projector is on 1 or 2 (Computer or Video) try the other one. :)
I've used mine with the built-in dual PIP for the different inputs with no problems so far. |

My church has a XL30 from Mits.
this past week it wen on the fritz. It would not recognize a
signal from Computer or video. Replace cables etc nada...
What I did find is this model has 1 VGA and 1 HD (RGBHV) input and tow Video inputs.
by connecting the computer to the second input (RGBHV) via adapter we can use the projector.
It is out of warranty. Hopefully using the 2nd port will last us a few more years. We have had for 4.5 years.
Has others had this same problem. this is the 2nd time this happend to us. First time warranty replaced with refurbished one.

I remember reading in the manual that the counter needs to reset to view the projector beyond 2000 hours. Did you ever get this straightened out?
OT, can you post that screenshot of your XL30U? I have one on order with a 120" 1.3 gain screen. I'm looking for real reviews online but can't seem to find any. On specs alone I ordered the unit and have my fingers crossed. Anyone care to share their impressions? settings? distance & lighting? |
