Hi everybody!
Well, i've had this PG M15 X notevision since last winter, and it keeps blowing lamps around 400 hours. What do you think can be the cause? I have a broken capacitor i think on the back remote circuit (47µfd 16v tantalum surface mount one). I suspect the balast to be the main problem. I can get cheap lamps. What do you recon, change the lamp fix the cap and resell, and let the next owner deal with this? Or try to repair and fear that the balast wasn't the problem and get stuck again with a blown lamp at 400 hours.
Also can someone explain few things. is it possible to bypass the checking/warmup etc signal (5000/2000hz square signalground to +5V iirc) so my lamps even suposed blown are working, and what would be the risk? Do theses explode when old, or simply quit working due to tungsten evaporation and if they do, do theses kill the projector at the same time? Any proper techie around here?
Thanks a lot and best regards.
