Topic:   Sharp XG-E1200U flutter

Hi. I bought this projector on ebay and when I received it, it works fine but it pulsates a orange color with vertical lines. After being on for a while it goes away a little but still "pulsates". Is the bulb going or is it a different problem?

Topic:   Sharp XG-E1200U Bleeding red/Power issue

Hello all, This one's a stumper for me but hopefully somebody on here will have some clue as to what I'm dealing with. I have a sharp XG-E1200U that, up until about a month ago, was working perfectly. All connections are made via S-Video with RCA backups through a device switcher. The only connection into the E1200U is the S-video (RCA connection is traded out as needed, depending on device usage) The problem, as it stands at the moment, is that the picture will now develop a red tint to the overall display and some red bleeding in particularly red-intense color areas. There's no definite way to replicate and it seems to happen randomly. The only semi-definite about the issue seems to be that it can be cleared up by shutting down, unplugging the power cord, plugging back in and then going back through power-up. It's not surefire but 9 times out of 10 will correct the issue for varying intervals of time. I have replaced the switcher, the S-Video cable running from the switcher and the power cord.I've also tested both devices (a PS2 and a DVD player) with direct connections on S-V and RCA, Removed the redundant RCA cables from the switcher, changed power cord from a power strip plug-in to directly in the wall outlet, tried a different outlet altogether and NOTHING has permanently fixed the issue. In any case, I'm fresh out of ideas. This is not a dealbreaker on the E1200U, as the picture is still readable. If this is a costly repair issue, I'll most likely use out the remaining 500 hours on the lamp (It's sitting at roughly 1000hrs at the moment) and junk it. Before resigning myself to a bleeding projector, though, ANY ideas as to what the issue is, ballpark on a repair or in-house fixes would be really appreciated. Thanks
