I've got a Compaq MP1400 which is ready for retirement and I've been looking at a Philips ProScreen PXG10. I'm just a little confused about comparing the contrast ratios. The Compaq has a ratio of 400:1 while the Philips has a ration of 200:1 but puts out 2200 ANSI while the Compaq only puts out 800 ANSI. I guess my question is wheather a bright projector with a low contrast ratio will out perform a projector with a higher contrast ratio but with lower brightness. Thanks
