Please can anybody help me with the projector ask c100/proxima dp6150?
I guess I have a convergence problem, is like double image, like a shadow in green and another in purple.
I connect the pc with vga, and i can't adjust color and sharpness because is not activated, i don't know if it is the problem.
I guess it can be some problem of allignment but i don't know what to do.
Maybe is possible to fix it if i would enter to the hide menu for service but i need the service code, Does anyone know?
Please i would apreciate very much if someone can help me in some way.
Thank you very much in advance!
I attach one picture in order to better understand of my problem.
Sorry about my english, is not very good. |

The RED pixels seems to be mis-aligned, they are off about 100 pixels to the left. I opened it up to see if the RED lense is loose, but it's as solid as a rock. Any suggestions? Would upgrading the firmware help? |

Did some searching, found some answers to my questions, but I still have a few more:
- Is Powerstrip the best scaler for HTPC?
- Is ATI HDTV Wonder the best HDTV tuner? |

Thanks for the replies. I understand I can't get the full 720p/1080i as HDTV was designed for, all I want is 1024 x 576 out of my 1024 x 768, utilizing as much as the pixels available with 20% loss of details. I spent hours reading the articles on this site trying to figure this out, I remember that it's possible to get 1024 x 576 out of a 1024 x 768 projector, but after reading your replies, I guess only newer projectors with HDTV capabilities can do this.
I will go the HTPC route if I have to, but I have a few questions:
- What resolution is being fed to the projector?
- Is it 1280 x 720 scaled to 1024 x 768 in letterbox to maintain the aspect ratio?
- How's the quality of the scaling?
- What's a good HDTV card to go with my ATI x800?
Big thanks guys! This is a great site. |

Hi, I have a Proxima DP6150 projector with a native resolution of 1024 x 768 and a maximum supported resolution of 1280 x 1024, I have it hooked up to a Samsung SIR-T451 HDTV Receiver via a RGB/VGA analog connection.
Available settings for projector:
- 4:3 or 16:9 mode
Available settings for HDTV receiver:
- 480i/480p/720p/1080i output signal
- 4:3 with letterbox or full
- 16:9 with pillarbox or full
When I use 1080i source signal, the projector goes to 1280 x1024 mode
When I use 720p source signal, the projector goes to 800 x 600 mode
When I use 480p/i source signal, the projector goes to 640 x 480 mode
The only way I get the native 1024 x 768 mode is when I hook up my laptop. This is frustrating because I would like to get a 720p signal to work with my projector's native resolution (getting 1024 x 576 out of my 1024 x 768 with a 20% loss of detail). Is there anyway to do this? Should I use a HTPC instead since my projector was successful in 1024 x 768 with my laptop? Any help would be appreciated. TIA! |
